Dispatch Assistant

Job description

Here at Adcock Transport, we are a transport company based in Pennsylvania with remote locations across 5 states. We are hiring an admin/dispatch assistant to help us keep growing. If you’re dedicated and ambitious, Adcock Transport is an excellent place to grow your career. You will be responsible for taking calls from customers and drivers and making sure they have the required assistance they need. There will be inputting of data into our TMS platform, conducting follow up with drivers and creating backhaul for return trips as well as uploading carrier packets into both platforms.

**Must be a resident of PA. This is an in-office position.

Responsibilities

  • Answers phones and assists customers and drivers as needed.
  • Order Entry
  • Vetting and updating carrier packets to upload into our TMS
  • Build backhauls and fill out existing loads with broker freight
  • Perform follow up to ensure units are picked up and delivered in the time frame discussed and dates are updated in VLMS or Super Dispatch
  • Ensure that all notes are documented in company used platforms and communicated to all

Necessary Parties

  • Effectively communicate with the drivers, customers and dispatchers
  • Ensure that the customer/driver was taken care during the call and provide timely solutions
  • Respond to emails in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition
  • Excellent clerical and organizational skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time.
  • Ability to work under stress and remain calm.
  • Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to follow procedures and regulations in relation to the transport industry.
  • Incredible multitasking abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to follow through with tasks that originate from meetings or calls.
  • The ability to think creatively.
  • Ability to use a map.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year
