About the Role
Adcock Transport is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Driver Recruiter to join our team in Manheim, PA or Columbus, OH. We aren’t just looking for someone to fill seats; we need a strategic recruiter who understands the unique nuances of the specialized transportation industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, vetting, and onboarding elite professional drivers for our specialized fleet of over 80 power units. Your focus will be on two critical sectors: Auto Hauling and Open-Deck (Flatbed/Step-Deck) operations. You will act as the face of Adcock Transport, building relationships with providers and ensuring our fleet remains staffed with the safest, most qualified talent in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the entire recruiting lifecycle, from sourcing and initial screening to conducting interviews and extending offers.
• Specialized Sourcing: Utilize job boards, social media, and industry networking to identify experienced drivers specifically with auto transport and open-deck backgrounds.
• Vetting & Compliance: Review MVRs, PSP reports, and work history to ensure all candidates meet DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Relationship Management: Act as a primary point of contact for driver candidates, providing a seamless and professional onboarding experience.
• Onboarding Coordination: Work closely with the Safety Director to facilitate orientation and ensure all new hires are prepared for the specialized requirements of hauling specialized freight.
• Market Analysis: Stay current on industry trends, driver compensation, and competitor offerings to keep Adcock Transport as a preferred employer.
Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in transportation recruiting is required.
• Industry Knowledge: Proven track record in recruiting for Auto Hauling or Open-Deck (Flatbed, Step-Deck, or RGN) is highly preferred.
• Regulatory Expertise: Strong understanding of FMCSA/DOT regulations and driver qualification files.
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), social media recruitment tools, and telematics/ELD platforms.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills; ability to “sell” the Adcock Transport brand to top-tier talent.
• Location: Ability to work on-site at our Manheim, PA facility.
