Job Summary

Adcock Auto Transport Inc. is seeking an experienced Used Car Dispatcher / Logistics to manage the movement of vehicles across our transportation network. This role is responsible for building efficient loads, managing truck assets, and coordinating vehicle pickups and deliveries across multiple routes.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in automotive logistics, load planning, and fleet asset management, with the ability to optimize routes, maximize truck capacity, and maintain clear communication with drivers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and dispatch efficient vehicle loads for multiple trucks and routes.
• Manage daily vehicle transportation schedules for pickups and deliveries.
• Coordinate with drivers, auctions, dealerships, and internal teams regarding vehicle movements.
• Monitor and manage truck and trailer assets, ensuring optimal utilization.
• Track shipments and provide real-time updates on delivery status.
• Adjust loads and routes as needed to address schedule changes or operational issues.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, dispatch logs, and driver assignments.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Assist with capacity planning and route optimization to maximize efficiency.
• Support operations by identifying opportunities to improve transport efficiency and asset utilization.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation planning.
• Experience with load building and multi-truck asset management is required.
• Knowledge of vehicle transportation, automotive auctions, or dealership logistics preferred.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple loads, drivers, and schedules simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, transportation management systems (TMS), and Microsoft Office.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in transportation dispatch, automotive logistics, or fleet coordination preferred.
